Fine Wine You Can Afford to Open

We bring the Burgundian micro-negociant model to California, sourcing wine from premium wineries under the Claudine label. This concept is not entirely novel (the French have been doing this for centuries), but here’s what makes us different:

  1. We keep our projects really small (~20-100 cases at a time) because this is where the value is. At larger volumes, brokers get involved.

  2. We work only with the best of the best. Think allocation-list labels you’d see on the wine list at Michelin 3-Star restaurants or rockstar winemakers you read about in the latest Wine Spectator. We get access before others because of our network and reputation for keeping sources discreet.

By avoiding the costs that traditional wineries face, we offer luxury wine without the luxury premium.

How about a $140 bottle of wine for $38? Or $120 wine for $44?

  • 2018 Spring Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon

This is a casualty of unexpected restaurant closures in 2020. This wine was destined for high end, East Coast restaurants, but the winery made a quick pivot and sold the cases to us for a song!

  • 2016 Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon

This wine was offered to us when, like others in our portfolio, the restaurant wine market completely cratered in 2020. We weren't necessarily looking for a Cabernet, but when we taste high quality wine and the price is fair, it simply had to be done.
